“It’s strange how the advice to drink eight glasses of water a day seems impossible to achieve – but six glasses of gin at a tasting? That goes down like a chubby kid on a see-saw.”

Take a trip to Glenshee

Our award-winning spirits are hand-crafted in small batches on the site of the former Persie Hotel at the foot of Glenshee in Highland Perthshire. We are a 10 minute drive from Blairgowrie and only a forty minute drive from Perth, Dundee, Braemar, Dunkeld or Pitlochry. If you’re nearby we’d love you to visit us!

Drop In

If you’re passing and you’d like to pop in for a quick visit, check our opening times. We always have samples on the go so you can try before you buy! And if you’d like to take a seat and try them all, it costs £10 per head for a Sample Paddle of six gins and matching mixers – plus three cheeky special editions if you’d like to try them! A Softie Sample Paddle costs £5 per head and is a real hit with children.

Book a Tour

Our Liquid Tour is hugely popular! For £20 per head, you will receive a flight of 6 x 10ml samples of gin with a range of mixers and garnishes, plus – if you wish – a Red Snapper cocktail taster, Dog Days special edition, sloe gin, raspberry gin and – not least – our glorious World Vodka Awards winner! After the flight we will take you behind the scenes on a guided tour, showing you where everything happens on site, from recipe development to distilling and bottling. The duration is very flexible but for most visitors the Liquid Tour tends to last about an hour and a half – sometimes longer for larger groups.

Drivers are welcome to take samples home in paper cups. Or if you’d like a lift we will send you information on transport as soon as you book so you can investigate local options.

Finally – and most importantly – Persie Distillery is dog friendly! Nicely behaved dogs are welcome in the tasting room but sadly not in production areas. We tend to work out a plan on the day depending on the nature of the dog.

Please book by using the calendar below – and make sure you let us know how many people are in your party so we can manage numbers. If there aren’t enough spaces left for your party on your preferred day, please email snifter@persiedistillery.com and we will see if we can squeeze any more in!

Personalised Gin

If you’re booking a tour for a special occasion, it might be worth thinking about a personalised label for that special someone. We can create a bespoke label for your family member or friend and make sure their gin bottle is ready to present to them after the tour. All you have to do is go to our web shop at least three working days in advance and place your order. And remember! Choose Click & Pick at checkout so you are not charged shipping – and please put the date of your tour in the delivery comment box so we know when to have your bottle ready and waiting. Directions

Travelling north on the A93, pass the Bridge of Cally Hotel on your left and drive straight on for 1.5 miles. Continue for 200 yards past the drive with the ‘Persie’ sign and it is the white house and steading immediately on your left. Follow the brown tourist sign instead of the sat nav!

Travelling south on the A93, pass the road on your right signed B950 to Kirkmichael. Do not turn off, but drive straight on for 3 miles, and it is the white house and steading on your right. Just look out for the brown tourist sign.
